Increase Traffic to Your Blog and Make Money

Have you ever started a blog and wondered why you aren't receiving that many visitors?

It might be that your SEO traffic isn't working or perhaps, you need to do more social media sharing or your Adsense isn't working. Whatever the problem may be, I think I have solved it. 

So how can it be done?

I started up a new blog and received lots of traffic there. It all happened when I wrote an article about a certain diet that I did. I shared the food plan and told everyone how I lost up to one stone in one week. The traffic was overwhelming in the first few weeks and then it went even higher. Today, this blog now receives 13,000 page views per month and each day it is rising. I don't know how this happened, but one thing is certain, weight loss and diets are something people want to know and read about. If you can start a blog with a topic that people want to learn more of, then you will be on the way to making it work.

My weight loss blog isn't anything special, but it's receiving traffic every day.  Check out the article that did it all for me... The Chemical Diet. It is also sharing some unique ads from Adsense on all my pages so I will earn money from these ads. Unique ads are important if you want to earn money from them. Here are five useful tips that you can start using immediately.

Topics

Write about topics that are of personal value i.e., write about an experience you had on a diet. Try it yourself and then write about it. Doing this will get you many hits and lots of people will always want to read about someone's personal experience whether it's about a diet or not. You can talk about the products you have used for your weight loss blog. You can advertise those products using Amazon affiliates or other adverts on your blog posts to gain you more money. I use Adsense too. Adsense share ads related to your blogging topic and it can earn money from them.

Getting Comments

Getting comments are a good thing for a blog. Comments are a way of bringing you more traffic. If you haven't got a comments section at the bottom of each article, then make sure you set one up. Comments are valuable. They bring more page views and money. You must always answer a question or a comment that's been left for you to answer. Replying to comments will bring more visitors to your blog.

Social Media

I always share my posts on social media sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, Googleplus, Reddit, StumbleUpon and Digg. These are all valuable sites and can help you receive traffic that you need to get you started. Register with all of them and share your posts as much as possible there. 

Write Regularly

Writing regularly will gain you more traffic. I try to write an article on my Skinny is Best blog at least once per week. This will keep your readers up to date and in turn, you will gain followers.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Using SEO ie keywords in your blog post is important but sometimes these keywords will be in your writing no matter what. Sometimes you need to find keywords that will drive the traffic to your blog post for that particular topic. These keywords may be popular ones or not. SEO is a simple activity if you can master it. It ensures that a website can be found in search engines for words and phrases relevant to what the site is offering. It is sometimes a great mystery when it comes to solving how SEO can work for your blog but if you master it, then it can bring great results where traffic is concerned.
